It’s a weird feeling looking back at your old stuff.
I’ve started quite a heap of blogs back in college (I miss the free time). There’s blogspot, multiply, friendster, and the less known blogdrive. Today, some of these sites are eaten up by other ventures: blogspot into blogger.com, multiply partnering with ABS-CBN (which I hate), friendster getting lost in the facebook competition, etc. But quite surprisingly, blogdrive has been resilient all the time, preserving my good old blog, neo4386.blogdrive.com. It used to be the centerpiece of my day. Most of my eLibrary time was spent building this blog (back when eLibrary still hogged MPSC’s internet connection, where it was as slow as snails). It was fun! Which is why I regret remembering it again.
Back in 2007, I was an upbeat graduate, “ready to take on the world” as they say it. I was so concerned about every part of my image, and so I started cleaning up. I remember learning privacy controls in friendster for the first time. Then I remember wiping up my blog. Damn! It contained my most precious posts, but I took no care of it.
I guess it’s really true what they say, the “baduy” moments of the past become the most unforgettable memories of today. And so today, I miss my blog’s past contents. And I forever will remember that blog stands for Weblog, a log on the web, and a log would be useless if it was partially wiped.
Hahayz, to recall some of my unwiped moments, let me show you this past post:
Last Friday we had our technical research masteral class at MPSC. Our class ended at about 7:30 PM. Walking out of school, Pearl (my classmate) and I opted for a quick dinner at Lim Ket Kai. After our dinner we decided to take the CM-recto -> Osmeña route for Cogon. We decided to walk so we could have ample time for a chit-chat.
Passing by the billboards of the Limketkai Cinema’s “Now Showing List,” our attention was caught with this peculiar sign:Uh… Ok…
So Pearl came up with a brilliant title for her thesis, which was “A Case Study: The difference between Die Hard 4.0 and 0.4.)”
Well well….
